I will be traveling to Thailand, Nepal, Japan and many other countries for almost 6 months, starting from the end of this year!
See you soon

  3. Aha, I work fora Belgian company and visit it frequently. I’ve seen China, but only from Hong Kong and Macau. I wish you all the best in your quest for paid employment – I hear too many stories of internships which subsidise big business – a worker should be paid. May your experience be rewarded.

    1. No? Which company? I am living in Belgium, oh great that you already experienced China. It’s such an interesting country, how is Macau? Thank you so much I really appreciate your kindness 🙂 Fingers crossed for my future! Greetz, “The Gypsy Hiker”

      1. Sure. Do drop me an e-mail at danontheroad(at)gmail.com whenever you’re planning for Malaysia. I’m in the family business of construction so traveling and blogging is a part-time thing (for now haha).

  6. Thanks for subscribing to my blog!
Welcome! Is this your first visit?
Let me inform you: Here you’ll find more than 5500 pictures
    – all in ‘full screen’ – waiting for you! Please enjoy!
And a piece of good advice to make it worth your while:
IMPORTANT! Please google a map of Norway, indentifying the location of the different counties!
Please activate a link to my ‘Index’! (You’ll find one at the end of any post you open!)
Here you’ll find all reports (and more) listed alphabetically under their respective counties.
You may also see how many pictures included in each report and which photographer that
did the job! If you take a fancy to one special photographer, you may insert his/her
3-letter ID-code into the small ‘text window’ underneath my ‘top frame’. Click ‘Enter’ and see all his/her work! (Photographers ID-codes in lower right hand corner of any picture published!)
Or you may insert i.e. ‘Oslo’ and see all reports related to Oslo?! It’s easy?!

      1. Well, The Gypsy Hiker, you can call me Robin. That’s what most people call me! I just started my blog like two weeks ago while in Europe- unfortunately I’m no longer there (moment of silence) but I’m still writing about it (and happily so.) Thank you for your encouragement, I can’t wait to hear more about your travels 😊

  10. Hi Vianney – bon voyage (a french eating microwave dinners “zut alors”- why would you do that if you can get great street food where you are? What am I missing?
Anyhow jokes aside, thanks for finding and following my blog, I like your posts, thoughtful and upbeat, agree the world is connected in so many ways now. As you are a marketing student, check out this marketing campaign from switzerland, i love it, it is one of the best I have seen:

Experience a fairy-tale and visit Heidi’s Granddad – excellent live interactive advert with yodeling, video and free tickets

PS your description of Belgium sounds like Asterix and his home country….(and of course Asterix is a Belgian too) .- voluntary? Involuntary? Happy accident?
    Happy travels and learning Poli
PS an philosopher at the dawn of time, apparently, once said the world is a book and he who does not travel only ever reads one page (his rendition was more elegant, I am sure you can find him if you google)

  11. I first met you as a 1,5 year old curly boy, who became my new neighbor and close little friend.
You have always been special and very different from other children, because of your interest in so many different things like flowers, cooking, scents, singing, dancing, languages, family and wonders of the world.
Through the years we shared so much precious time, until you moved again to another place in Belgium.
Thank you for sharing the updates of your life and the feeling that you cherish each good moment with valuable people you met.
Curious I love to follow your path via this blog, to places I visited in the past and new ones to discover.
Enjoy life and make the best of it Vianney!
    Love, Ingrid
